Now thats not a problem I've seen with my system.
You may want to make sure your web browser is set to accept cookies, if you have that turned off then you might have the type of problems you described.
I am automatically 'logged off' while surfing the site if I don't check the 'Remember Me' box.
It is accepted that the use of a 'Remember Me' box is to make it so that the next time you visit a site you don't have to login.
'Remember Me' is a feature those that share a computer or are in an unprotected environment would do well to not utilize if they expect to maintain privacy.
This is a technical problem that will require yet another revision to the code.
